Nevada’s two American Legion World Series champions took two different routes to their respective titles.
The 2008 champions from Las Vegas Post 76 won a record 75 games and ended the season with 21 straight victories.
The 2017 champions from Henderson Post 40 allowed a near-record 21 hits in their opening game of the ALWS and went 1-2 in pool play, yet still advanced to the semifinals. After an extra-innings win over Bryant (Ark.), Henderson edged Omaha (Neb.) Post 1, 2-1, in the championship game.
