Future major leaguer Dave McNally’s lone pitching loss in the 1960 American Legion Baseball season came in the final game of the season.
McNally and his teammates from Billings Post 4 lost to New Orleans Post 125 in the championship game of the 1960 American Legion World Series. McNally was 18-1 that season.
McNally would go on to win two World Series titles with the Baltimore Orioles, and be named ALB Graduate of the Year in 1970.

First state champion: Great Falls.
Notable alumni: Nolan Gallagher, Red Lodge, 2004 Player of the Year; Dave McNally, Billings, 1970 Graduate of the Year.
