Visit five stops at the 102nd national convention in Phoenix for free 100 Miles for Hope merchandise and more.

If you’re attending the 102nd National Convention in Phoenix, support The American Legion’s second annual 100 Miles for Hope challenge with a fun scavenger hunt.

Participants of the 100 Points for Hope scavenger hunt will locate five different stops inside the Phoenix Convention Center, including the Exhibit Hall, for 20 points each. Three of the stops will require you to take a photo; each stop will be marked with a 100 Points for Hope placard. The end result is free 100 Miles commemorative merchandise and an opportunity to donate to the 100 Miles for Hope cause – The American Legion Veterans and Children Foundation.

Stop 1: Rally Around the Flag display features a pop-up with the steps Betsy Ross used to cut a five-pointed star with one snip of her scissors. Take a picture of the Betsy Ross pop-up.

Stop 2: 100th anniversary display outside of Auxiliary convention floor. Take a picture to help the Auxiliary celebrate their centennial.

Stop 3: No. 48 Car booth. Take a picture of the car.

Stop 4: Media & Communications Booth. At this stop, subscribe to The American Legion’s Tango Alpha Lima podcast and show booth staff the photos of your previous three stops. Once you complete these four items, you will receive a Challenge Completed coupon for your choice of a 100 Miles for Hope challenge coin, Riders patch or hat pin. You’ll also be eligible to enter your name into a daily drawing for a chance to receive signed Jimmie Johnson and Tony Kanaan mini helmet or shirt.

GO THE EXTRA MILE: If you make a donation of at least $20 to the Veterans and Children Foundation – either at the V&CF booth, using the QR Code at the Media & Communications booth, or online at legion.org/100points –you will receive an instant verification donation receipt that you can show Media & Communications staff to receive a Thank-you coupon good for your choice of a 100 Miles for Hope sweatshirt, cap or tech shirt.

Stop 5: Emblem Sales in the Exhibit Hall. Present your coupon, with your selected 100 Miles for Hope item, at any of the Emblem Sales check-out registers.
