Convention workshops focus on membership, MyLegion and district commanders

Training will be held during the 103rd National Convention in Milwaukee. 

Attendees of the 103rd American Legion National Convention in Milwaukee will have an opportunity to receive training on membership, MyLegion.org and incoming district commander information. 

Saturday, Aug. 27 and Monday, Aug. 29: Membership training with subject matter experts. Training will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days at the Wisconsin Center, Room 103, Section B, First Floor.
Topics of discussion include how to:

– Contact your legislators

– Run an effective meeting
– Inspire post growth and retention
– Conduct Buddy Checks
– Write resolutions
– Have effective communication and public speaking skills
– Address suicide prevention efforts

Monday, Aug. 29: Incoming District Commanders Training. Training for incoming district commanders will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hilton Milwaukee, Wright Ballroom, Sections A-B, Fourth Floor.

Monday, Aug. 29: Intro to MyLegion.org Workshop. A comprehensive training session on the mylegion.org platform will be presented from 9-11:30 a.m. and from 2-4:30 p.m. The training will be held in the Wisconsin Center, Room 103, Sections D-E, First Floor. Pre-registration at the Media & Communications booth located in the exhibit hall is required.
