March 16 transition workshop and March 24 job fair will bring veterans and their spouses to the Windy City for valuable career opportunities.
The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce invites veterans to Chicago for a transition workshop on March 16 and a hiring fair on March 24 at the downtown Hyatt Regency hotel. "Hiring Our Heroes Chicago" will bring more than 80 companies to the Windy City that are looking to hire veterans and their spouses. The March 16 transition workshop, run in conjunction with the hiring fair, is coordinated by Monster.com and held at the Hyatt Regency from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will receive tips on networking, résumé writing, job hunting and interviewing.
The March 24 hiring fair, which takes place from 8:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m., will give veterans a chance to network with or even be hired on the spot by the many companies and businesses in attendance. Most importantly, not all positions are in the Chicago area - national jobs will be available as well.
