Teams will compete for a spot at the American Legion World Series in North Carolina.
The field of 64 teams to compete for spots at the American Legion World Series is set. The American Legion World Series runs Aug. 16-21 with games broadcast live on ESPN3.com (Games 1-6) and ESPNU (Games 7 through 15, including semifinals and championship game).
Four teams that reached the 2017 World Series in Shelby, N.C., are among the regional squads.
Qualifying teams include department winners, runners-up in departments among the largest in program size and the eight regional host teams.
