The revamped online home of The American Legion was recognized by Kentico for boosting audience interaction, membership growth and event participation.
The American Legion’s revamped website has been recognized as the 2024 Kentico Site of the Year in the NGO and Associations category.
The Legion partnered with Americaneagle.com to launch a new version of Legion.org on Xperience by Kentico, managing over 85,000 pages and 23,000 migrated news articles. The project streamlined content management by reducing 68 content types to eight and integrating a Content Hub with reusable blocks, improving efficiency and consistency. Integration with Woodwing preserved editorial workflows for continued daily publication of news articles. The platform enhances user engagement, supports personalized content strategies, and aligns with The American Legion’s Microsoft ecosystem. By maintaining SEO through 301 redirects and offering user-generated content tools, the site boosts audience interaction, membership growth, and event participation while reducing IT reliance.
The Kentico Site of the Year contest honors partners and clients who craft remarkable digital experiences and excel in providing exceptional user journeys through their websites or apps. These winners showcase excellence in creativity, innovation, content strategy, and technological implementation. Winners are determined by the Kentico committee based on the highest number of votes garnered.
