Guidance in such areas as post development/revitalization, military outreach and public relations will be offered.

Several mini workshops covering a variety of areas will take place during the 2012 National Convention in Indianapolis. Classes will take place on Aug. 25 and Aug. 27 in the Indiana Convention Center, Halls C&F, Street Level. Training sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and each class will last between 30 to 45 minutes, including a question-and-answer session.

The class schedule is:

August 25

• 9-9:30 a.m. – Military Outreach

• 10-10:30 a.m. – Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation (Know Your Benefits)

• 11-11:30 a.m. – Post Development/Revitalization

• Noon-12:30 p.m. – Public Relations

• 1-3 p.m. – Children & Youth (Temporary Financial Assistance/Family Support Network)

 

August 27

• 9-9:30 a.m. – Post Development/Revitalization

• 10-10:30 a.m. – Military Outreach

• 11-11:30 a.m. – Heroes to Hometowns

• Noon-12:30 p.m. – Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation (Know Your Benefits)

• 1-1:30 p.m. – Public Relations

• 2-2:30 p.m. – Americanism (How to Get Your Post Actively Engaged in Programs)
