Jack Butler
Laketon, Ind.

Jack Butler of Post 402 (Department of Indiana) passed away May 26 at age 80. He was a Korean War Army veteran.

Mr. Butler served as Alternate National Executive Committeeman from 2007 to 2009 and National Distinguished Guests Committee vice chairman from 1997 to 2007.

 

Frank J. Kosanda
Sun City, Ariz.

Frank J. Kosanda of Post 6 (Department of North Dakota) passed away May 20 at age 88. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Mr. Kosanda served in several department positions, including department commander from 1966 to 1967. He also served as National Employment Committee consultant from 1969 to 1970.

He was a member of the National Membership & Post Activities Committee from 1962 to 1964, the National Employment Committee from 1967 to 1969, and the National Americanism Commission from 1970 to 1981.

 

Michael G. Schow
Pocatello, Idaho

Michael G. Schow of Post 4 (Department of Idaho) passed away May 15 at age 68. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Mr. Schow served in several department positions, including commander from 1984 to 1985. He also served as National Executive Committeeman from 1992 to 1994, Alternate National Executive Committeeman from 1990 to 1992, National & Homeland Security Council vice chairman from 1990 to 1992 and 1994 to 1995, National Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation Commission chairman from 1997 to 1998 and 2000 to 2001, and National VA&R Commission vice chairman from 1996 to 1997 and 1999 to 2000.

He was a member of the National Supervisory Committee from 1980 to 1986, the National Internal Affairs Commission Liaison Committee from 1992 to 1994, and the National VA&R Commission from 1995 to 1996 and 1998 to 1999.


Richard E. Sievert
Sioux Falls, S.D.

Richard E. Sievert of Post 15 (Department of South Dakota) passed away May 21 at age 76. He was a Korean War Air Force veteran.

Mr. Sievert served as National Americanism Council vice chairman from 2007 to 2009.

 

Peter W. Zebrowski
North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Peter W. Zebrowski of Post 186 (Department of South Carolina) passed away May 13 at age 55. He was a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

Mr. Zebrowski served in several department positions and also was a member of the National Foreign Relations Council from 2002 to 2009.
